Inspections Issues
Below is a list of some of the top reasons our clients found our service to be of value to them in 2014. Some are bizzare to say the list but none the less factual.
HIGHS - Items we caught before they became even larger problems for our clients
- Oven malfunctioned with a power spike which caused the self-cleaning feature to turn on and remain until we discovered it "glowing RED hot"
- "NEW" roof in June was leaking into the home by August
- AC unit malfunctioned causing the home to have higher than normal levels of humidity and mildew begain to form on counter tops, furniture and appliances
- Sprinkler head for landscaping up against the home popped off damaging the soffit and began shooting water into the home at the point of damage
- Patio sliding doors left unlocked by people who had occupied the home for a week during the summer
- Caribbean crazy ant infestation both inside and outside were litterally thousands of ants (the link is just a video to help you understand what Caribbean crazy ants are and not our clients home)
- Toilet tank fill valve/tube leak - if the client had not taken our suggestion to turn the water main off would have caused thousands of dollars in damage
- Windows left open by family members who had stayed in the home for a weekend. They simply forgot that it was open about 4 inches
- AC unit water leak damaging the interior walls of the garage
- Sprinkler system malfunction zones not shutting off
- Piles of palm fronds that were never removed by landscaping company
- Pool cage screens blow out by summer thunderstorm
- Ghost ant kitchen infestation
- Garage door left open by landscaping company after serving the sprinkler system allowing anyone to gain access to the entire home
- Tree limbs fell on asphalt shingle roof damaging the roof
- Gutters came loose from home after a storm
- Small sink hole began to wash away behind seawall
- Pest control employee turned thermostat down 8 degrees during interior service and then forgot to turn it back up causing the cooling bill to sky rocket
LOWS - Items we discovered you would think could never happen but human nature proved otherwise for clients
- Contractor building a home "across" the street was using our client's electricity with two power cords stretching across the road
- Neighbor's young children fishing from our client's boat dock even though the property was posted no tresspassing
- Neighbors parking their tow truck in our client's drive in which the weight of this commercial truck actually collapsed part of the drive
- Fruit theft from several of our client's homes by landscapers,pool company employees or possibly even neighbors
- Client's boat dock being used by neighbors to dock their boat AND utilizing their water and electricity
- Neighbors using our client's pool without permission
- Nephew using our client's home without permission to host a party
- Lawn care company charging for services when they wer clearly not their on the dates they charged our clients
